Product Identification

Take an example of woman designer bag (Gucci) and we shall have a short treatment of advertisement of this product with the following medium


  • Radio- I personally dont think radio presenters or even advertisements in radio has talked about designer handbags. I think radio must be the least distributed in this situation

  • In tv, this particular product will be advertise due to reach the mass audience target. 

  • Mobile Phones can now go online and therefore audience can now view the product via the internet to check the lastest update of the designer handbag. With this medium, it has an advantage for desperate viewers who is not in the particular shop or infront of the computer.

  • Usually pamphlet are given in places where they sell their product and not much people read pamphlets and therefore it might not be the strongest medium to use effectively. I would categorize this as an disadvantage.

  • Newspaper is one of the medium product that could be advertise and be viewed because there is a niche market for this medium. In this case, the designer handbag could be advertise at the entertainment section or fashion section.

  • Billboard is one of a good advertising medium to catch the attention of drivers. In this case, Gucci can put up their products on billboard to attract audiences. Disadvantage of utilizing billboard is that it is visible for drivers on the road only.
